APPLICATION AND SELECTION
An annual announcement of program availability is made each spring though the M-DCPS Weekly Briefings. Interested individuals complete an application submission, eligibility screening and interview process. Selected candidates are notified of acceptance into the program.

Candidates participate in a 10-day Summer Leadership Institute as an introduction to the yearlong program. The orientation introduces expectations, guidelines, and completion requirements. Professional development activities feature presentations and activities to increase knowledge, awareness and expertise in operational and instructional leadership.

Successful program completion is based on the satisfactory completion of all required components and demonstrated mastery of the 10 Florida Principal Leadership Standards.
